Spatial and Temporal Evolution Characteristics of the Salween River Delta from 1973 to 2021

We obtained sixteen clear-sky remote sensing images of Landsat series data from 1973 to 2021 and extracted continental island coastlines the Salween River Delta based on Modified Normalized Difference Water Index (MNDWI) visual interpretation correction. determined overall evolution with statistical superposition analysis applied Digital Shoreline Analysis System (DSAS) summarize spatial temporal process characteristics in past 50 years. Experimental results show that (1) change coastline was more rapid than continent, Indian Ocean side side, (2) total area increased by 91.16 km2 2021, Bilu Island 50.38 km2, length decreased 0.39 km, 6.43 (3) Linear Regression Rate (LRR) were: 4.69 m/yr for coastline, 1.06 ?2.07 m/yr, respectively, western southern branches 0.83 21.52 sides Island, (4) dominant accretion, an accretion about 10 unstable rate.
